Join us to explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s, learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.

Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity and social engagement, and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches adults how to identify, understand, and respond to adolescent (ages 12-18) who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. Registration is required and space is limited. Email marthawellsne@gmail.com to register.

The Western Area Respite Program is sponsoring Family Movie activities across the Panhandle. If you do not see your theatre listed, please encourage them to contact Sherri Blome at sherri.blome@wchr.net or by calling 866-RESPITE. We want family caregivers to be able to attend a fun event with their family or they can choose to have a little respite while their respite provider attends with the family.
