Lindsey Barker

Lindsey is the Lifespan Respite Coordinator for the Central service area and has been in this position since Fall of 2020. Lindsey graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in August 2020 with a bachelor's degree in human sciences with a minor in Education Studies. She also has her associate degree in early childhood education from Northeast Community College. Lindsey's work experience includes being currently employed with Independence Rising and has been since May 2020. Before that, Lindsey worked as a childcare provider for six years and as an assistant preschool teacher for two. This is where she learned her passion for working with children and families. Lindsey has completed many courses that taught her how to connect with families and children of all ages and continues to learn and grow in her current positions by participating in ongoing training. She was born and raised in Beatrice, NE, and recently married in August 2022. She and her husband have 3 nieces and 2 nephews that keep them busy.
