The Nebraska Caregiver Coalition hosted an important discussion on Nebraska's new Medicaid Work Requirements. The session explored key policy updates, who may be affected, and implementation timelines.

Jacob Kawamoto, Deputy Director of Policy & Plan Management / Tribal Liaison Medicaid & Long-Term Care
Jacob Kawamoto is the current Deputy Director of Policy and Plan Management for the Nebraska DHHS Division of Medicaid & Long-Term Care. Prior to this role, he was the Program Manager for the Medicaid Policy Team and has been with the Department for almost 7 years. Jacob played a key role in leading the policy efforts needed to support and implement the new Medicaid Work Requirements. He also serves as one of the Medicaid Division’s Tribal Liaisons. Jacob is a life-long Nebraskan and lives with his wife in Lincoln, Nebraska.
