Are payment delays expected during this time?

Currently, we are not expecting payment delays as processes are running as normal. Participants/Caregivers should continue to submit their billing documents within 90 days of the service provided for review and processing. If access to community resources, such as the library for computers, are unavailable due to COVID-19 below is the mailing address to submit billing documents to.

Lifespan Respite Subsidy Program
P.O Box 98933
Lincoln, NE 68509-8933

Please note that the faster payment submission method is via email. You may experience a slight delay if you switch to standard mail due to delivery timelines.

Families are wondering if their funds can be adjusted when this is over?

At this time, there are no changes to the utilization of the monthly $125 Subsidy allotments. If the participant/caregiver would like to save up the respite care for an extended period, they can make special arrangements in advance. Up to 3 months of consecutive Respite Subsidy may be saved for use all at once to allow for extended respite services.

Which community organization providers are open and closed during the pandemic?

Please check with your local Health Department regarding openings and closures.
